QuickBooks Online sync error: Business Validation Error: Please make the parent account active first. Then you can make this sub-account active
Why the sync error occurs
This error occurs when a GL account is trying to sync from Key CashFlow to QuickBooks Online, but the selected parent account is inactive in QuickBooks Online or Key CashFlow.
How to fix the sync error
There are three options to resolve this issue:
- Reactivate the parent account in Key CashFlow or QuickBooks Online and sync again
- Edit the account and change the parent account in Key CashFlow or QuickBooks Online and sync again
- Edit the account and remove the parent account in Key CashFlow or QuickBooks Online and sync again
